Product Description

It is used for the in vitro quantitative detection of cystatin C content in human serum, plasma and whole blood samples. Cystatin C is a low-molecular-weight protein that can freely pass through the glomerular filtration membrane. All nucleated cells in the human body produce cystatin C at a constant rate. Its serum concentration is closely related to glomerular filtration rate (GFR), without relying on any external factors such as gender, age, or diet. It is an ideal homology marker reflecting changes in glomerular filtration rate and can be used as an evaluation index of renal function. At present, the commonly used clinical detection methods include immunoturbidimetry, chemiluminescence immunoassay, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, etc.
