Product Description

It is used for the in vitro quantitative detection of rheumatoid factor (RF) content in human serum and plasma samples. rheumatoid factor (RF) is an antibody against the antigenic determinants of the Fc fragment of human or animal IgG molecules and is an autoantibody targeting denatured IgG as the antigen. There are B cell clones that produce RF in RA patients, and RF can be synthesized in large quantities under the direct action of denatured IgG or Epstein-Barr virus. The positive rate of RF in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is 70% to 80%, and itis an indicator of the clinical activity of RA. Patients with positive rheumatoid factor are more often accompanied by extra-articular manifestations, such as subcutaneous nodules and vasculitis, etc. The positive rate of IgM-type RF is 60%-78%. Among the elderly with normal rheumatoid factor, 5% can be positive. The positive rate can increase with age, often indicating the disease activity of rheumatoid arthritis (RA), and the incidence of bone erosion is high. At present, the commonly used clinical detection methods include immunoturbidimetry, chemiluminescence immunoassay, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, etc.
